Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
 
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 2008. Known all along for its high quality of experienced faculty, The faculty maintains close relation with the students and pays individual attention. Students are given deep exposure in their field of study with a career orientation. The department, in keeping with the objectives of the institute, emphasizes discipline, encourages the involvement of the faculty in the development of the laboratories, and takes active interest in the student counseling.

VISION:

To impart knowledge in ever-changing Electrical and Electronics Engineering to promote highly competent, innovative and ethical computer professionals through excellence in teaching, training and research.

MISSION:

To provide opportunities for students to work on the different kinds of hardware and software platforms prevalent in industry, with the objective of being responsive to industries’ needs, the programme goes beyond the curriculum prescribed by the University.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES(PEO'S):

PEO1:CBIT Graduates shall have strong foundation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering along with advance knowledge on contemporary technologies and devise solutions for realistic and social issues in the society.

PEO2:Graduates shall be employed in software and hardware industries or pursue higher studies or research or become entrepreneurs.

PEO3:Graduates shall overcome cultural differences through teamwork, good communication and high patterns of discipline.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES(PO'S):

(a)    an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering

(b)     an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data

(c)     an ability to design a system, component or process to meet desired needs

(d)     an ability to function on multidisciplinary teams

(e)     an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems

(f)     an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility

(g)     an ability to communicate effectively

(h)     the broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global and societal context

(i)     a recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life long learning

(j)     a knowledge of contemporary issues

(k)     an ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice

(l)     an ability to apply the knowledge of management principles and finance for project estimates and team work

Mr. A Venkateswara Reddy was born in Chinnayyagari Palli, Mydukur Mandal, Kadapa District, and Andhra Pradesh. He received the B.E. from Karnataka University, Dharwad in 1996 and M.Tech. Degree from JNTU Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh in 2004. He is currently working towards the Ph.D. Degree in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. His area of research is Power System Stabilizers. He is presently working as Professor and Head of Department, EEE Branch, Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Proddatur. He has a vast experience of 16 years in teaching field and worked with different educational institutions... He is also a life member of MIE and IEEE. He published three research papers in the field of Power System Stabilizers in International Journals. He recently visited University of Pardubice, Czech Republic, Europe for Faculty Exchange Program and Research.
