Peer Review Guidelines

The Journal of Gateway to Sustainable Research (JGSR) focuses on sharing scientific knowledge. The credibility of published papers depends on a strong peer review system. Manuscript examination is an important part of the publishing process. Reviewers are invited to evaluate the content and give recommendations to ensure it meets our standards. Reviewers are not expected to rewrite the article but to give honest and constructive feedback. They need to check the papers sent by the editorial office or editor within the given timeframe.

Manuscript reviewers play a key role in publishing reliable, creative, and useful articles for undergraduate and graduate students. Their expertise helps decide which manuscripts will be included in the journal. Reviewing manuscripts is an essential first step in the publishing process, and JGSR values the knowledge and efforts of its reviewers.

Guidelines

Reviewers are requested to confirm their availability to complete the review within the given time after receiving the invitation. Please inform us whether you accept or decline the invitation. If you cannot accept, you may recommend a colleague so the editor can invite them instead. Reviewers are assigned articles based on their specialization. If a manuscript is outside their expertise, they should inform the editorial office.

If a reviewer faces issues with timing or conflicts of interest after accepting the assignment, they should contact the editorial office. The editorial office can then extend the deadline or cancel the assignment. Reviewers should check if the manuscript fits within the journal’s framework. Reviews should be unbiased and fair. Reviewers must complete their evaluation within the timeline to ensure timely processing. If the manuscript is outside the journal’s scope, notify the editorial office.

Reviewers must not contact the authors and should not use the data for personal purposes or share it with others. Feedback should be constructive and professional, avoiding negative or harsh remarks. Confidential comments about approval, rejection, or changes can be shared with the editor. Comments and reviews must not be influenced by race, religion, nationality, ethnicity, language, gender, or political factors.

If you wish to join as a reviewer, please email your CV and the journal of interest to info@jgsr.in. We will respond quickly.
