Dr. G.K.D. Prasanna Venkatesan is a distinguished academician and researcher with an extensive background in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Research and Development at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT), Andhra Pradesh, he has been instrumental in advancing research initiatives, fostering innovation, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration within the institution.

Dr. Venkatesan holds a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, followed by an M.E. in Applied Electronics and a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering. His research interests span across VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, Internet of Things(IoT), and 6G Communication Technologies. With over two decades of academic and research experience, he has guided numerous scholars and published several papers in reputed national and international journals.

In his leadership role, Dr. Venkatesan has played a pivotal part in shaping the institution’s R&D ecosystem, establishing industry collaborations, and driving innovation-led growth. His contributions to engineering education and research excellence continue to inspire students andpeers alike.
