Electrical and Electronics Engineering

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department was established in the year 2008. The Department offers B.tech Program in EEE with an intake of 60. The B.Tech Program in EEE has been accredited by National Board of Accrediation (NBA) successively thrice i.e. in 2015, 2019 and 2022. The period of validity for the program is till 30 june, 2025.

Electrical engineering is an engineering discipline concerned with the study, design, and application of equipment, devices, and systems which use electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism. It is the branch of engineering that deals with the technology of electricity. Electrical engineers work on a wide range of components, devices and systems, from tiny microchips to huge power station generators.

The department of EEE aims to serve society by educating and inspiring future professionals in the various fields of electrical engineering by creating, applying, and disseminating vital knowledge and technology, and by leading the professional activities of academia and industry.

The department of EEE is dedicated to delivering competent electrical engineers to the arena of the real world. They are outfitted with core technical knowledge as well as the professional skills necessary to face the challenges of the future. The faculty and staff are fully committed to gearing up towards this end.

The department of EEE has made remarkable progress since its establishment (2008). It has fully equipped labs. The department is rich with experienced and dedicated faculty with both industry and teaching experience.

The department of EEE believes in the importance of industrial visits in the engineering curriculum and hence arranges industrial visits to reputed establishments in and around the state, with a view to integrating academic instructions and practical aspects.

The department of EEE has excellent laboratories that have been laid out for the practical instruction of students. These add value to the theoretical instruction collected in the lecture halls. The Machines Lab, Measurement Lab, Control Systems and Power Electronics Lab, Power Systems Simulation Lab, and Electrical Workshop totalling many sq.m are manned by competent staff. MATLAB, PSPICE, and ECAD software have been installed in the Simulation Lab. The department has qualified and dedicated faculty members with Ph.D and M.Tech qualifications and is influential in building the careers of the students.
