  • Civil Engineering encompasses a wide range of fields, including Surveying, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydraulics, Transportation, and Hydrology & Water Resources Engineering. Civil Engineers are primarily responsible for developing infrastructure to meet societal needs, such as providing shelter, ensuring access to drinking water, managing wastewater, and facilitating transportation via roads, railways, airways, and urban transit systems. They also manage water resources through dams and reservoirs.
  • Key skills for Civil Engineers include communication, organization, leadership, and decision-making, as infrastructure projects require significant manpower and team coordination.
