• The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been playing a vital role in producing Electrical Engineers and Technologists of highest competence ever since it was established in the year 2008 with an intake of 60.
• The department is constantly catering to the needs of the industry by training students to make valuable contribution and is constantly striving hard to produce qualified technocrats who can face the challenges of the real world.
• The infrastructure and lab facilities of the department are being upgraded from time to time thus providing ample opportunity for the students to enrich themselves. The major laboratories in the department are Electrical Machines Lab, Electrical Power Systems Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Electrical Measurements Lab, Networks Lab, Control Systems Lab and Computer simulation Labs. Latest hardware equipment and several software packages have been purchased for carrying out research work by students and faculty.
• The Department is currently engaging in research in the areas of Electrical Engineering including Power Systems, Power Electronics and Drives, Power Converters, High Voltage Engineering, Control Systems, Artificial Intelligence Techniques, Renewable Energy resources and Electrical Vehicles etc.
• After completion of graduation in this course student will able to get a job in public and private sectors as Electrical Design Engineer, Control and instrumentation Engineer, Acoustic consultant, Micro electrical engineer, CAD technician, Broadcast engineer, Manufacturing systems engineer, Electrical equipment/machinery maintenance engineer etc.
